Are you looking to delve deeper into local knowledge or add a special book to your collection?  If so, visit our Local Interest section where you?ll find beautiful books like The Main Line by William Morrison filled with historic photos of some of the most expansive homes of the area or fun titles like Rocky Stories by Michael Vitez which chronicles the most iconic set of stairs in the country.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed with the sheer number of choices presented by our store?  In an effort to help you narrow your options, every month, we present an extensive collection of staff picks.  Some of our past selections have gone on to win national awards including the 2008 Pulitzer winner for fiction, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. 

If fiction is what you?re looking for, Mariza recommends Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See as a novel about loss, love and motherhood guaranteed to be a great read.  For fans of Phillipa Gregory, Beth can?t say enough about Four Queens by Nancy Goldstone and her deft portrayal of strong women in difficult circumstances.  Ted?s favorite book to recommend is To the White Sea by James Dickey, which he says is, in addition to being a fast paced adventure, one of the most poetic and beautiful books he?s ever read.

If music is your passion, we have several staff members with whom you?ll be able to connect.  Kurt?s been with our store for years and is the person to ask for if you have that tough question you don?t think anyone can answer.  For music that doesn?t sound like anything else you?ve ever heard, Tristan enthusiastically recommends Blood Inside by Ulver.  Matt thinks that Marah?s Angels of Destruction is one of the best albums by the best band you?ve never heard.
